Arlington Road Improvements
PID No. 116917
Green, Summit County, Ohio
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The purpose of the proposed project is to improve mobility and provide additional connectivity access for the public in the city of Green, Summit County, Ohio.
The proposed roadway improvement project consists of a roundabout at the Arlington Road and Boettler Road intersection and a roundabout at the Arlington Road and Southwood Drive intersection, with additional travel lanes along Arlington Road. The lane configuration on Arlington Road would include four 11-foot lanes (two in the northbound and two in the southbound direction) with a raised center median. Curb and gutter would be provided along the extents of Arlington Road and on the roundabout approaches of the side streets. Pedestrian facilities are included, with a sidewalk on the west side of the road and a shared-use path on the east side of the road. Both pedestrian facilities would be offset from the face of the curb by 5 feet. Sidewalk is proposed on the south side of Boettler Road and shared-use path on the north side of Boettler Road from Arlington Road to Kenway Boulevard/Brier Woods Parkway. Boettler Road and Southwood Drive will have one 11-foot lane in each direction with dedicated right-turn lanes on the westbound approaches at the roundabouts.
The project area begins approximately at the intersection of Arlington Road and Harring Road for the southern limits and continues north to the intersection of Arlington Road and Turkeyfoot Lake Road (SR 619). Additionally, the sidewalk improvements will extend along Boettler Road beginning at Arlington Road and ending at Brier Creek Parkway/Kenway Boulevard.
